Radar Ridge Study
Cordillera Resources's serial transect mapping program at Radar Ridge will better understand the location of the 12,000 foot ( proposed total depth ) test well drilled by Plains Exploration and Production Company.
The study area at Radar Ridge in White Pine County, NV, involves about 92 outcrop miles in ten transect lines ( see Image 1. Radar Ridge Study Area — Transect Lines ).
There are about 20 attitudes per outcrop mile in the Radar Ridge study area.
Cordillera Resources will collect approximately 1844 attitudes (see Table 1. Radar Ridge Study ) using survey-grade, sub-meter GPS to locate each one.
Cordillera has already collected 156 attitudes on transect line RR-06 ( black dots on RR-06; see Image 1. Radar Ridge Study Area — Transect Lines ).
Extending Brokaw and Barosh (1968)
Brokaw and Barosh completed a smaller scale survey in the Radar Ridge study area in 1968.
Cordillera Resources's transect line RR-06 extends the A - A' line of Brokaw and Barosh.
Data resulting from the the serial transect mapping of RR-06 offers more detail than the 1968 report for the same area ( line A - A' ).
Approximately 384 attitudes will be collected along the RR-06 transect line ( 9.6 miles of outcrops ).
